CUFFH began in 2003 as concerned members of local congregations who wanted to address the crisis concerning affordable housing in North Brooklyn. In 2009 the organization officially incorporated as a 501 (c)(3) organization under the name Churches United For Fair Housing, Inc. On Sunday, the celebration will consist of unveiling our new website, email address, and our newly renovated office. You can enjoy hors d’oeuvres, dialogue, entertainment including a surprise raffle and music. Our guest list includes community and neighborhood leaders from government, CBO’S, church leaders, clergy and other community members of north Brooklyn and beyond. Finally, the guests will have the unique opportunity to vote for the new CUFFH logo and tag-line.
In cased you missed the post article, Montserrate Church had it’s last service on Sunday, January 30th, 2011. It truly marks an end to an era. What will happen to these church goers and activists only time will tell.
